Hotel Plessas Palace

Combination of bed and breakfast rooms and self-catering apartments, benefitting from some super views of surrounding countryside from its facilities. Somewhat spoiled by the proximity of some areas to the main road and the traffic passing right by outside. Disappointing pool and little here for children, so may suit those wanting to explore the area and local beaches. Quite a distance to the beach but it is walkable for the more energetic. The many tourist amenities in the centre are handy just along the road. Don't quite know where the Palace in the name comes from but don't imagine too many royalty stay here?

Interior

Public interior just consists of an open-plan combined reception, dual-sided bar with exterior and interior service and a breakfast area at one end. Outside on a wood-covered terrace are more tables and chairs for drinks, breakfasts and snacks.

Grounds

Long narrow grounds next to a field look out to distant hills. Tiled pool terrace with enough space for sunbeds and parasols and a pretty lawned garden with flowering shrubs in front of the accommodation. A covered stone snack bar with wicker-effect seating is near the entrance.

Area Type: On the main road at the edge of the village beside some open land with steep wooded hillsides in the distance to the rear. Nearest amenities start a few minutes walk along the road in the centre. A bus stop to Zakynthos town is 50 yds away. Other hotels and apartments are along the road. Taxis are sometimes available along the main street or can be called quite easily from the reception.
