Mediterranean Beach Resort

Slick and tasteful establishment built in 2005, offering well-laid out and smartly presented accommodation with quality interior facilities but quite let down by an inadequately sized pool and limited sun lounging space around it. There are a good range of facilities that appeal to all nationalities and mainly to more mature couples and families. It benefits from a great beachfront location and safe calm swimming at the immediate sandy beach. It fails to quite live up to a five-star rating but overall is of a good standard throughout. It is walkable to the heart of the resort and its nightlife and the bus is on the main road. It is in a handy location to take a boat trip from the beach to visit the turtles in the Marine Park. For those interested in shopping and an authentic Greek flavour, Zakynthos Town is the best bet.

Multi pastel-coloured building on 2- and 3-storeys with both protruding and recessed balconies with metal fronts on all rooms. Ground-floor rooms have a terrace. It comprises a main building and 7 further accommodation blocks with lawned frontages, hedges and shrubs.

Interior

The central interior is pastel-coloured with a marble reception, classy stone-built corner bar and comfortable lounge seating in the middle. A small terrace looks out to the car park at the front of the building. A stylish second-floor restaurant has trendy, high-backed chairs.

Grounds

Narrow grounds extend through the accommodation blocks down to the seafront. Just above the beach is a wood-decked sunbathing area with sunbeds packed into a confined space. More sunbeds are available around the pool under canopy parasols. In one corner is a small snack bar with some covered metal chairs and tables for snacks.

Location

Area Type: Between an area of open land and the beachfront with other hotels and apartments. A good selection of local tourist amenities is a short walk along the street. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of the resort. Local buses on the main road and taxis (called from reception) can be obtained for the short cheap journey to Zakynthos Town or to the surrounding local area including neighbouring Kalamaki.
